Damp proofing treatments come with long-term guarantees, typically 10–30 years for chemical damp proof courses, depending on the treatment type and property conditions. The guarantee terms, duration, and what's covered are set out in your works documentation before anything starts.

Insurance-backed for real protection

A guarantee is only as good as the company standing behind it, which is why ours are insurance-backed: the cover remains valid even in the unlikely event the installing company ceases trading. If you're comparing quotes from different contractors, always ask whether their guarantee is insurance-backed. A 30-year paper guarantee from a company that disappears in year two is worth nothing.

Guarantees and selling your home

Transferable guarantees genuinely matter at sale time: buyers' solicitors routinely ask for damp guarantee documentation, and having it avoids renegotiation late in a transaction. Keep your guarantee certificates safe with your property papers. If you've had works done (by us or anyone else) and want independent confirmation they were completed properly, a post-works inspection provides professional sign-off.
