How long does a survey take?
On site
- Residential damp survey: typically 1–2 hours, depending on property size and the number of affected areas
- Combined damp and timber survey: allow 2–3 hours
- Commercial premises: from a couple of hours to a full day for larger buildings
- Multi-area and portfolio programmes: scheduled across one or more visits, agreed in advance
The report
Your written report is normally delivered within 2–3 working days of the visit. If you're up against an exchange deadline or an Awaab's Law timescale, tell us when booking, because next-day reporting is available on request.
One thing we don't do is rush the inspection itself. Moisture profiling, tracing a leak path, or distinguishing condensation from a fabric problem takes the time it takes. That thoroughness is exactly what you're paying for, and what makes the report defensible when a solicitor, lender, or tribunal reads it.
