What documentation do I get for compliance?

Compliance lives or dies on documentation. If a tenant complaint escalates to the Housing Ombudsman or a tribunal, the question won't just be whether you acted. It will be whether you can prove it.

What every survey produces

  • A dated written report: evidence of investigation within the required timescale
  • Photographic evidence of the conditions found
  • Moisture and humidity readings with professional interpretation
  • A clear diagnosis: building defect, ventilation deficiency, or lifestyle factors, stated with evidence
  • Prioritised recommended actions with indicative urgency

For portfolios

Multi-unit programmes add a portfolio summary: every unit assessed against the same methodology, findings ranked by severity, and a suggested works sequence you can take straight into budgeting. That consistency is what lets you demonstrate a proactive, systematic approach, the strongest possible position under Awaab's Law, rather than a pile of unrelated reports.

After remedial works, a post-works inspection closes the loop: independent confirmation the hazard was resolved, with fresh readings and photographs for the file.
