Roof, Chimney & Guttering Rainwater leak - Hackney, London E5 - November 2024

Tenants called to advise of damp patches appearing at various places on ceilings and walls around the flat. All the damp patches pointed to roof issues. We carried out a drone aerial survey to identify the scale of the task. Scaffolding was installed front and rear for safe access.

Chimney pots were capped with vented caps, water ingress holes were filled with mortar wherever found, repointing done, flashing fillets remortared, lead flashing reset, gaps filled, guttering and fascia boards replaced, ridge line repointed. Every section of the roof was carefully inspected and every crack and gap filled to prevent water ingress. The walls cracks and gaps were filled with mortar and the entire walls covered with 4 coats of Thompsons Water Seal to prevent rain water ingress but allow the walls to breathe out.
