Central Heating Pipework burst and Water Damage - Northampton NN5 - August 2024
Tenant called to advise of a large water leak from the ceiling and loss of boiler pressure. We attended site to locate the source of leak, removed carpets, opened up floorboards, cut open wall plasterboard. The leak was a burst Push Fit Tee Joint. The Tee fitting was replaced and system refilled and balanced and left for 24 hours on test, walls and floors reinstated. Waited 4 weeks for the damp patches to dry, mould spores appeared on the dampness. Removed the mould and Decorated with Zinsser stain stop.
